Planetarium

The Planetarium serves as a resource to RUSD students and teachers as well as community members. It's used to provide the most current trends in astronomy and space exploration to the District's students.

All RUSD students are brought to the Planetarium in third and fifth grades, but it is used by classrooms District wide.

The Planetarium is located in the southeastern corner of Gifford Elementary School, 8332 Northwestern Ave.

Evening Programs

The Planetarium at Gifford Elementary School will be holding a series of evening programs that are open to the public. All programs are from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. Reservations are requested. Please call (262) 619-4587 or email John Surendonk at John.Surendonk@rusd.org and include your name, phone number and number of seats requested. 

The Cowboy Astronomer

The Cowboy Astronomer is an entertaining blend of star tales and Native American legends.

With the use of immersive visualizations real images explore many of modern astronomies' most advanced discoveries.

3000 Years of Astronomy

Travel on a historical odyssey to uncover the many accomplishments humans have made as we seek to understand the cosmos.

MarsQuest

Take a historical and futuristic look at the red planet.
