Student Council

placeholder

The Giese Student Council consists of 2-3 representatives from each of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classrooms.

These students work with staff to make Giese and the community the best it can be. The student council usually supports our Leukemia/Lymphoma Fundraiser and hosts an annual food drive in November and donates the food that is collected to our local food bank. Student council members make cards and collect socks for seniors at the Lincoln Village nursing home. They decorate and distribute bags for Earth Day. These are just a few of the student council managed events that help make Giese and the neighborhood a better place.

This group helps students gain awareness of the community around them. It allows children to develop their leadership skills by participating in activities beyond the classroom. They learn how to work together as a team to accomplish goals that help others.
