The Racine Unified School District and Mahogany Gallery celebrated the winners of the 2022-23 Martin Luther King, Jr. Art and Essay Contest Saturday, Jan. 14. This is the second annual contest that invites students in kindergarten through 12th grade to honor Dr. King in their own way.
This year, the District received 99 entries from both public and private schools. There were 10 winners in grades K-2, nine in grades 3-5, five in grades 6-8 and two in grades 9-12.
