They say the best way to spread holiday cheer is singing loud for all to hear! But, as Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary School students show us, you don't need to say a word to send a heartfelt holiday message.
For the last several weeks, Jefferson Lighthouse teacher Kelly DeCheck collected words of hope from students and staff to create a special message for senior citizens this holiday season.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed celebrations this year. But, some people are hit harder than others. For many in assisted living centers, visitors are not an option. So, the holidays can be a very lonely time.
We hope, if only for a few minutes, that all senior citizens, whether right down the road or across the country know that students and staff at Jefferson are thinking about them and we wish everyone a brighter 2021!
