Construction is about to begin! A ceremonial groundbreaking took place at Jerstad-Agerholm K-8 Tuesday, April 25. Racine Mayor Cory Mason, RUSD Board of Education Clerk Brian O'Connell, Superintendent Dr. Eric Gallien and Jerstad-Agerholm Principal Danny Hernandez all spoke about the excitement around the new addition to be built for students at the K-8 school. Student dancers and the Jerstad-Agerholm drumline performed prior to ceremonial photos of shovels hitting the dirt.
Work being done at the school as part of the District's Long-Range Facilities Master Plan includes classroom renovations, a gym addition, safety and security upgrades, ADA and accessibility improvements and a new playground. The work is expected to be complete in time for a grand reopening in fall 2024.
