Millions of people, including children, live with mental illness, and RUSD is dedicated to raising awareness of mental illnesses, fighting stigmas related to them and providing support to those living with different health conditions.

There are several ways you can help support your own mental well-being and the well-being of others too.

  • Check out Racine County Family Resources for a calendar of events, community programs on mental health or to learn more about mental illness
  • Share a personal story of recovery from mental illness with others
  • Take time to support a family member, friend or colleague who is struggling with a mental health concern. Have a meal together, do a fun activity or spend time together in another meaningful way
  • Have a dinner conversation about mental health

If you or someone you know is in crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 or chat at 988lifeline.org.
