As we prepare to welcome students back for in-person learning, we want to provide you with additional details so you feel confident in making an informed decision.

RUSD will offer families the opportunity to choose an in-person, remote or virtual learning option (see more information about each one by clicking on the link) for their child following this timeline:

  • March 1: Grades PreK-5, 6, 9, 12
  • March 8: Grades 7, 11
  • March 15: Grades 8, 10

The Re-Entry Planning Team along with school administrators have been working diligently to develop plans for a safe return. Please click here for more information regarding our health and safety plans. (en español)

In addition, we have developed helpful guides for self-monitoring symptoms at home to ensure your child is safe to go to school. We ask that you review Can My Student Go To School Today?  (en español) daily and follow the arrows to determine if it is safe to attend. This flyer also explains what to do if the student is ill or exposed to someone who has COVID-19.

Important! Please make sure your contact information is up to date in the Infinite Campus Parent Portal so school staff can reach you should your child become ill while at school.

  • Don’t have a Parent Portal account? Click here for step-by-step directions to set one up.
  • Need help updating information? Click here for more information.

If you have specific school-based questions (e.g. What will passing time look like?), please contact your school principal. They are happy to answer your questions so you can make the best decision for your family.

On Friday, we will send the Commitment to Learning Survey to all our families so you can make the best decision for your child(ren). We encourage families to review the information above and watch for the survey in your inbox on Friday.
