At North Park Elementary School bullying is not accepted. Bullying differs from childhood “horseplay” or real fighting. When bullying happens there is an imbalance of power and the student who is being bullied has difficulty defending himself/herself. At North Park, staff members encourage students to report what they see or hear to help create a positive learning environment for everyone. Interventions work best when everyone in school cooperates by reporting any incidents of bullying.
