Providing opportunities for student success outside the traditional classroom in rigorous leading edge ways through personal virtual coursework and mentorship.

What does a typical day look like in the virtual learning environment?

Our Virtual Learning program is available to all students enrolled in Racine Unified School District from Kindergarten through fifth grade.   Students meet for a daily Morning Meeting for 30 minutes to engage in activities and social interactions with their grade level peers.   Students attend synchronous lessons intermittently throughout the day and work independently in their online courses.  Students in Virtual Learning also have Art, Music and Physical Education classes provided in a remote (live) platform.  Students have access to their grade level teacher throughout the school day, to assist students with their coursework.   Additionally, Virtual Learning has a full-time special education teacher that meets with students who have an IEP.
