Congratulations to Drew Sword M.Sc. of The Academies of Racine at Horlick for winning the John Thompson Exemplary Leadership Award at this year's National Career Academy Coalition (NCAC) conference!
Mr. Sword embedded industry certifications into a new science course and spent free time training to help students obtain those certifications.
Mr. Sword's approach to the academy model involves seamlessly blending chemistry with culinary scenarios, conducting experiments using art materials, and incorporating vocabulary from construction, engineering, and manufacturing pathways.
