Our 7th and 8th grade construction class has been hard at work building stools while learning valuable manufacturing and construction skills! 🛠️

Throughout this project, students practiced measuring, cutting, and assembling materials while also developing their computer and design skills. From planning their projects to bringing them to life, students gained hands-on experience in problem solving, teamwork, and precision craftsmanship.

We are proud of the dedication and creativity our students have shown during this project. Great work! 👏

This week, hundreds of students at Mitchell, Olympia Brown, Gifford, Schulte and Jerstad-Agerholm celebrated the completion of Everfi's Financial Literacy courses with Educators Credit Union!

Students showed off their financial knowledge with a series of games that highlighted their ability to make smart money decisions. To make things better, 82% of these students completed BOTH Everfi courses. 🎉

Our 6th grade students recently wrapped up their financial literacy unit, so what better way to celebrate than with some fun hands-on activities! Students had the chance to apply what they learned and celebrate all of their hard work throughout the unit.

A huge thank you to EverFi and Educators Credit Union for supporting our students and helping make this end-of-the-year celebration possible. We also appreciate our volunteers who helped make today’s event such a success!

As reading scores in Wisconsin continue to decline, we have made noticeable gains at Racine Unified!

A renewed focus on early literacy has put our change in Reading Achievement on an upward trajectory for 3rd-8th-grade students since 2023. During that same time, the average of similar districts has fallen and leveled off.

What an incredible day for our 6th graders at the Griffin Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago! Students dove into the Blue Paradox exhibit, discovering how microplastics affect our waterways, and then set off to explore the many exciting exhibits throughout the museum. From hands-on activities to fascinating discoveries, it was a day packed with curiosity, learning, and fun.
