Due to the extreme cold warning issued by the National Weather Service, all schools will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Jan. 21. This day will be made up on Monday, Feb. 17 in place of the winter break day.
Thank you for your understanding and stay warm.

Tonight, the RUSD Board of Education approved placing a referendum on the April 1 ballot. The proposed 5-year, $190 million non-recurring referendum would:
- Prevent cutting programs like the Academies of Racine and protect smaller class sizes
- Attract and retain excellent teachers and staff who are essential for delivering high-quality education
- Invest in the safety and security of our schools
This referendum is needed because for more than a decade state funding has fallen short, and more and more districts are forced to pass referendums to balance budgets. Want to know more? Visit www.rusd.org/referendum.

Viste www.rusd.org/referendum.

See you next year!

A combination of snow and wind will hit our area right in the heart of after-school bussing today, likely creating slick roads and reduced visibility. Our bus drivers will be cautious (as always) but please know students may be late arriving home.

The days are getting shorter, the sun is shining less and these seasonal changes can definitely take a toll on our mental health. The good news is, there are ways to curb not only the winter blues, but also promote mental wellness all year round.
RUSD Parent University invites you to learn more about mental health at all ages, discover resources and ask questions about this important health topic at our next virtual session that you can join here: https://meet.google.com/rks-faeo-zgx. It’s taking place Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6 - 7 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Walden III put up some BIG numbers for their annual food drive! Students presented a check for $6,756 (plus some funds collected at the assembly) and 512 boxes of food to the Racine County Food Bank! #YouBelongHere

For the second year in a row, RUSD has improved its report card score - this year by 3.5 points. This score is just one of many signs of growth and achievement in results across the district. Click here to learn more: https://www.rusd.org/article/1883297
