Spring Election 2024

Board of Education seats in Election Districts 4, 5, and 6 are up for election on April 2, 2024.

The term of office for these districts are three years beginning on April 22, 2024 and ending April 25, 2027. 

Board of Education seat in Election Districts 8 is up for election on April 2, 2024.

The term of office for this district is one year beginning on April 22, 2024 and ending April 27, 2025.

Qualified candidates must file as a candidate for an identified Election District and must reside in the Election District from which they are elected.

By filing the Notification of Non-Candidacy, the incumbent(s) listed above have given advance notice that they do not presently intend to be a candidate for re-election to the school board office.

Except as otherwise provided under state law, a qualified elector of the Racine Unified School District who wishes to become a candidate and have their name appear on the election ballot for their election district seat that will be contested at the 2024 Spring Election must file all necessary forms at 3109 Mt. Pleasant Street, Racine, by no later than 5:00 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2024. Additional information about the election is available below.

ELECTION DATES & DEADLINES

  • Dec. 1, 2023           First Day that Nomination Papers May be Circulated for Signatures. Not less than 100, nor more than 200 are required.
  • Jan. 2, 2024            Deadline for Filing Declaration of Candidacy, Campaign Registration Statement, and Nomination Papers must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m.
  • Feb. 20, 2024        Spring Primary Election (if necessary)
  • April 2, 2024         Spring Election
