Family Empowerment Series: Holiday Food Basket & Book/Learning Activity Give-away - December 18, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
This event will take place in the west parking lot of Park High School. This will be an opportunity for the first 700 families to register, to receive a holiday food box with all the fixings. In addition, families will receive books/learning activities for their children. The registration will open from Monday, Nov. 29 thru Monday, Dec. 13.
Healthy Relationships and Healthy Boundaries - February 3, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
In this presentation, the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships/boundaries will be discussed. It will be held at Mitchell and will provide participants with red flags of unhealthy relationships and how technology can be used against victims of domestic violence.
Signs of Sexual Abuse vs. Healthy Sexual Development - April 7, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.
The presentation will be held at Mitchell and will go through the stages of healthy sexual development in children and compare them to signs of potential sexual abuse or grooming.
Family Empowerment Series: Student Scavenger Hunt - April 15-22
The Scavenger Hunt will take place during spring break 2022 and require students to visit stores in downtown Racine to receive clues & questions to answer regarding Racine's history. All students will receive a reward for their participation. More information to come.
Family Empowerment Series: RUSD Literacy Festival - May 21, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
The Literacy Festival will take place downtown Racine behind the Racine Public Library and will consist of interactive activities, storytimes, book character contests, book trivia contests, RUSD resource tables, community resource tables, etc.
