Extended Learning Summer Program


Who should attend?

Summer School 2021 registration closed on June 6, 2021.

Students in grades K-8 (no 4K students) are eligible to participate in the after school program. Spacing is limited at each site.

Gifford School, 8332 Northwestern Ave.

Jerstad-Agerholm School, 3601 LaSalle St.

Mitchell School, 2701 Drexel Ave.

Julian Thomas, 930 Dr Martin Luther King Dr.

Knapp, 2701 17th St.


Extended Learning programming is offered Monday through Thursday from 12:35 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. Dates follow the daytime school schedule (June 21 - July 29).

Daily Activities

Students will be placed in small groups based by grade/age. They will participate in a set curriculum that excites and motivates children. 


Juice and chips will be offered daily. We encourage families to send a water bottle with your child each day.


As of May, 25 the 2021 Summer School Extended Learning program will now be FREE for all families. Refunds will be provided by June 30th to any families who have already paid for Extended Learning.
