Studies have shown that books contain many words children are unlikely to encounter regularly in spoken language and contain 50% more rare words than primetime TV or even college students’ conversations. So grab and book and get reading to your kids today! Here are a few places you can find a free book - or five!

  • RUSD Family Resource Centers
    • Grab a free book at one of RUSD's Family Resource Centers! Our families with students attending any one of our Title I schools are welcome to pick up a book or two any time the Family Resource Centers are open. There are books for all ages and titles that follow a monthly theme keeping the supply fresh! While you're there, don't forget to explore all the other resources available to families in our Family Resource Centers.

        Thursdays 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
      • Mitchell Family Resource Center
        Mondays 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
