Grade / Subject Acceleration 

Grade Acceleration or Subject Acceleration may be a good fit for some students. There are many factors to consider when making a nomination. Parents and teachers are encouraged to review the RUSD Guide for Gifted and Advanced Programming for more information. 

Forms

The first step in the process for grade level or subject acceleration is Gifted Identification. Gifted Identification forms can be found on this page. For students who have already been identified and tested through this process, the request for acceleration form is listed on page 15 of the Guide (linked above). 

Important Dates & Deadlines for Acceleration Requests 

November 15th: Deadline to submit nominations for consideration for the second semester of the current school year. 

April 1st: Deadline to submit nominations for consideration for the next school year.
