As part of RUSD's dedication to improving early literacy, the District has identified reading passages that represent text that students should be able to read by the end of each grade to be considered a proficient reader. Students need to continuously read more difficult texts throughout their elementary career and these passages can help families understand the literacy goals for their children as these are the types of texts our students read during assessments. Contact your child's teacher to see how you can help support their progress at home!
