Work is Underway!
$8.5 million each year for 15 years
On Nov. 4, 2014, the Racine community showed its support and belief in our Racine Unified Schools with its vote to support a 15-year referendum. On behalf of the 20,000 students and all of our employees and families, we want to say thank you for your trust and support.
Our pledge to you is that the District will be accountable. We will involve the community throughout the process and all of our work will be shared publicly here on this website. If you have any questions or want to be involved on one of the Referendum Advisory Councils, please email info@rusd.org.
In fall 2016, RUSD opened three new schools. In fall 2017, RUSD expanded The R.E.A.L. School at the sportsplex in Sturtevant. In 2018, RUSD renovated the Gilmore building as it expanded to Gilmore Fine Arts for kindergarten through eighth graders. Click the links below to learn more and see what else is new in RUSD!
