2024 Summer School Extended Learning registration is open through May 24!
Who should attend?
Students in grades K-8 (no 4K students) are eligible to participate in the after-school program.
Space is limited at each site.
Registration
Parents register in the Parent Portal while they are registering for Summer School. If you have questions, please contact extended.learning@rusd.org.

• Knapp Elementary, 2701 17th St.
• Roosevelt Elementary, 915 Romayne Ave.
• Schulte Elementary, 8515 Westminster Dr., Sturtevant
• Wadewitz Elementary, 2700 Yout St.
• West Ridge Elementary, 1347 S. Emmertsen Rd., Mt. Pleasant
• (Currently full) Gifford School, 8332 Northwestern Ave.
Schedule
Extended Learning programming is offered Monday through Thursday from 11:55 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Dates follow the daytime school schedule (June 24 - August 1, no school July 3 & 4).
Daily Activities
Students will be placed in small groups based by grade/age and participate in programming to excite and motivate them.
Meals
A snack will be offered daily. We encourage families to send a water bottle with your child each day.
Fees
There's a $65 fee that will be added to IC fees and will need to be paid to confirm enrollment. (We will be using free/reduced identification to lower the fee where needed) This covers all six weeks of summer school. If you have not filled out this year's Alternative Household Income Form yet, you can do that here.
