Jefferson Lighthouse Elementary is among nine Wisconsin schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School awardee!
Secretary of Education Miguel Cardona made the announcement September 21 and Jefferson held a celebration the next day.
Principal Jeremy Benishek, along with Superintendent Eric Gallien and Racine Mayor Cory Mason, congratulated Lighthouse's students and staff. Each class then marched in a parade that ended with a walk down a blue carpet at the school's front door.
