Hello Fratt Families,
Welcome back Fratt Elementary Families. I hope everyone enjoyed some time this summer to relax and enjoy time with family and friends. We as a Fratt staff look forward to an outstanding 2023-2024 school year.
Fratt takes great pride in creating an educational atmosphere where students can learn in a caring and creative environment. Together our staff encourages students to engage in a lifelong love of learning. As we focus on student achievement we will provide a variety of academic and educational experiences that promote student growth and learning throughout the year. During the upcoming school year I encourage you to take an active role in your child’s learning. Parent involvement plays a critical role in our school’s success. Ways to support and increase your child’s academic success include:
- Make attendance a PRIORITY including limiting tardiness and absences
- Check Parent Portal regularly
- Communicate often with your child’s teacher
- Read with your child at least 20 minutes a day
- Limit television and social media, encourage outside play
- Talk about the school day with your child
DROP OFF and PICK UP
ALL DAYCARES will drop off and pick up on Arthur Avenue. ALL BUSES will drop off and pick up on Kinzie Avenue. ALL WALKERS AND PARENT/GUARDIAN DROP OFF AND PICK UP will be on their assigned doors on Cleveland Avenue. When picking up your child please park or come through the car rider line, do not stop in the middle of the road to beep or scream for your child to come to your car. This puts your child in harms way, as well as causes traffic to stop.
START AND DISMISSAL TIME
The start of the school day is 7:15 am. Students enter the building at 7:10am. Students are considered tardy after 7:25 am. Dismissal is at 2:21pm at that time all students should be picked up. Please make sure your child is getting to school on time and is picked up on time.
COMMUNICATION
Any important information that you will receive from the office will be sent home with students in their yellow folders. That information will also be posted on our website: https://www.rusd.org/fratt and on our facebook page: Fratt Elementary School.
BREAKFAST
Breakfast is from 7:10 AM to 7:40 AM. Students are to enter through their assigned grade level doors.
SPIRIT FRIDAYS
Every Friday, students and staff will get to show their Fratt Spirit.
PARENT/GUARDIAN ENGAGEMENT
We will be having monthly parent/guardian engagement activities. Please look in your child’s yellow folder, our website, and our Facebook page for those activities.
ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS MUST SIGN IN AT THE FRONT WINDOW

Bienvenidos familias de Fratt. Espero que todos hayan disfrutado de este verano para relajarse y disfrutar del tiempo con su familia y amigos. Nosotros, como personal de Fratt sabemos que vamos a tener un excelente año escolar del 2023-2024.
Fratt se enorgullece de crear un ambiente educativo donde los estudiantes puedan aprender en un ambiente creativo y afectuoso. - Verifique el Portal para Padres regularmente en Infinite Campus
- Comuníquese frecuentemente con el maestro de su hijo
- Lea con su hijo al menos 20 minutos al día

- Habla con su hijo sobre su día escolar
DEJAR Y RECOGER
LAS GUARDERÍAS INFANTILES dejarán y recogerán en la avenida Arthur. TODOS LOS AUTOBUSES dejarán y recogerán en la avenida Kinzie. TODOS LOS CAMINANTES Y PADRE / TUTOR DEJAR Y LEVANTAR estarán en su puerta asignada. Cuando recoja a su hijo, por favor estacionese para recoger a su hijo, no se pare en medio de la calle para que su hijo vaya a su automóvil. Esto pone a su hijo en peligro, y también hace que el tráfico se detenga.
HORA DE INICIO Y DESPEDIDA
El comienzo del día escolar es a las 7:15 am. Los estudiantes ingresan al edificio a las 7:10 am. Los estudiantes son considerados tarde después de las 7:25 am. La salida es a las 2:21 pm en ese momento todos los estudiantes deben ser recogidos. Asegúrese de que su hijo llegue a la escuela a tiempo y que lo recojan a tiempo.
COMUNICACIÓN

DESAYUNO
