Turning Point Academy
(TPA)
TPA is a reassignment program designed to meet the educational needs of “struggling” students through behavior, academic prevention, and intervention programs.
Criteria-
- Middle and High School students who have violated the District’s Code of Conduct- Level 4 or Level 5 offense
Referral Process-
- Regular Ed-ART Process or Expulsion with early reinstatement
- Special Education- Manifestation Determination Review required
- *RUSD to follow corresponding legal guidance
*All assignments to TPA are a minimum of a semester.
*Students transition to the comprehensive school at natural breaks during the school year.
*Students and Staff will present their portfolios during re-entry meetings.
