Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is referred to as PB@J (Positive Behaviors at Jerstad-Agerholm K-8 Middle School). It is a system of school-wide behavior management in which students are taught and modeled a set of consistent, appropriate and expected social behaviors.
These behaviors are reinforced through middle school-appropriate activities. With PBIS, instructional time is more effectively used for teaching and the overall school environment is calmer and conducive to learning.
