National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is new to JA. However, since it started in 1929, NJHS has been focused on recognizing positive and responsible middle school students. It focuses on service, leadership and positive character throughout a student's 6th-8th grade academic years. Students who are selected to be part of the organization maintain a high grade point average, fulfill required service hours, attend society meetings and conduct other activities designated by the group’s bylaws. This positive organization is great at helping students grow their leadership skills in addition to promoting academics and community service.
