Student Council

The West Ridge student council is composed of 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students who are elected by their peers to represent their homerooms.

In September, students are nominated in their homerooms (by their peers) to be a student council representative or alternate. Those nominated students run mini-campaigns that include a speech on why they should be chosen. An election is held and the two students with the most votes become the homeroom’s representatives.

Student council meets once a month after school from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. Representatives plan school spirit days, school action projects, food drives and fundraisers.
